Director of Marketing and Communications

We are looking for an experienced, resourceful, and strategic leader and a natural-born communicator and wordsmith to lead and build the Marketing and Communications team at Inspera. You will be a member of the senior leadership team and lead the team responsible for all of the company’s growth marketing, product marketing and brand marketing.

You have a strong business brain and can identify a target audience, craft a strategy, establish measurable outcomes, and drive results. You are creative, quick, persuasive, and witty, your writing makes people think, and you’re most satisfied when your work has deep, meaningful impact.

You will play an essential role in shaping the long-term vision and strategy to re-invent educational assessment for the 21st century.


Job responsibilities

As Director of Marketing and Communications your responsibilities will be to:

  • develop and execute effective communications strategies and plans, including an executive communications strategy
  • develop and own a thought-leadership content and communications program
  • create and own a social media communications program
  • support efforts through Marcom and Public Relations to drive and manage Inspera's brand
  • Implement protocols and best practices in the event of crisis management; act as corporate spokesperson during such event or as determined by executive management
  • continuously measure and report the success of corporate communications strategies and programs
  • lead all event marketing and craft sales material
  • be a member of Inspera’s leadership team and have a strong voice in key strategy decisions
  • collaborate internally across Inspera to build integrated strategies with our Growth, Product, Sales and Service teams

Job requirements

We are searching for applicants with:

  • at least 5 years of experience in senior marketing or communications roles at a primarily online SaaS company including at least 2 years managing or in a leadership role in a marketing team that built a well-known online brand
  • demonstrated ability to accomplish great things with a budget on par with an early stage company
  • strong creative skills while also having the ability to digest quantitative data and use that data in strategy building
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a closely related field from an accredited college or university
