We are looking for a Scrum Master to execute and further improve the Scrum process for two or three DevOps teams. You will be responsible for coaching team members on this methodology as it is implemented and used during the software development life cycle. You are a facilitator, keeper of the process and a servant leader that helps the DevOps teams with continuously improving themselves.

Phrases such as “maximising the work not done”, “keeping it simple and small”, “walking skeleton”, “user story mapping” and SOLID principles are familiar to you. You will be working with the DevOps teams, Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts. This role asks for creative thinking and staying abreast on agile methodologies.

Job responsibilities

As a Scrum Master your responsibilities will be to:

  • Organise and facilitate planning and refinement meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Drive the team to ensure sprint commitments are fulfilled
  • Track, update and communicate team velocity, product/sprint backlogs and sprint/release progress
  • Effectively remove blockers for the scrum team and shield the team from interruptions during the sprint
  • Ensure the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility
  • Recommend and implement improvements and assist in changes to best practice
  • Empower the teams to be self-organised to improve and reach their highest potential
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement resulting in improved outcomes


Job requirements

We are searching for applicants with:

  • bachelor's degree or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Scrum Master certification with expert knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban etc
  • at least 5 years of experience in a product development environment, either as developer or tester, of which at least 2 years as Scrum Master in an organisation with at least 2 Scrum teams
  • experience in managing varying stakeholders both internal and external as well as users
  • experience of JIRA and Confluence in managing product backlog as well as being able to work effectively across a geographically dispersed team
  • experience with test-driven development and continuous integration
  • excellent team player with outstanding communication skills including the ability to work with diverse personality types
  • ability to deal with multiple projects and deadlines, be decisive and to hold your ground in difficult situations
  • strong analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail and understand technical issues at a high level
  • mastery of both English and Norwegian as working languages
