User Researcher and Product Strategist

We are looking for a talented data-driven User Researcher & Product Strategist to jump right in and be a part our Product & Engineering team.

As a User Researcher & Product Strategist, you will work with the product, design and development, operation and QA teams to enhance and innovate our high-stakes assessment platform. You’re always up to date on our latest usage metrics, product feedback and competitive landscape, you have a point of view on user experience, and you enjoy digging into the “why?” before defining the “what” and “how”.

Your role will encompass work in research, product management, service design and data analysis. You’ll be both a thinker and doer. Be ready to get you hands dirty while being involved in every step of the iterative product development life cycle.

Job responsibilities

As an User Researcher & Product Strategist your responsibilities will be to:

  • ensure the customer voice is present throughout the product development lifecycle
  • gather, distill, and synthesize product requirements from customers and keep the product roadmap updated
  • conduct various forms of research, such as contextual inquiries, usability studies, surveys, competitive analysis, user testing and remote research
  • develop effective and impactful deliverables such as requirements documents and user stories

  • create, maintain and continuously audit dashboards and metrics of relevant usage behaviour to help shape product roadmap
  • work cross-functionally with our sales, customer success, customer services and product team to ensure that important customer needs are reflected in the product roadmap
  • assemble product and metrics reports to senior leadership team and board of directors

Job requirements

We are searching for applicants with:

  • 5+ years experience in product design, user experience, and/or product management with a SaaS company
  • proven track record for making/assisting on strategic business decisions with a data-driven lens
  • ability to grasp complex concepts and systems quickly, and express them in simple ways
  • experience in developing requirements documents and user stories
  • excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills including the ability to provide guidance to highly technical professionals and executive management
  • experience in project management and agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban etc.
  • experience with Looker and JIRA a plus
